Marie
My recent stay at Karen's Breakaway Spot was less than satisfactory. The state of the chalet was appalling - the oven was dirty, the bed sheets were stained, and there was mold in the bathroom. The shower was unusable due to the dirty walls and lack of a shower head. Furthermore, the toilet seat was broken and the sink near the shower was filthy. The overall cleanliness of the place was just unacceptable.

Our expectations were not high, but we were pleasantly surprised by this cozy chalet. Despite the worn-out appearance, it was warm and waterproof. We enjoyed the quietest sleep in years, even during a busy holiday period. Richard promptly addressed our minor concerns. Free Wi-Fi, parking, pets allowed, flat-screen TV, and a no-smoking policy on-site were added bonuses.

Small chalet with adequate heating and waterproof during heavy rain. Quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep. Prompt responses from the owner regarding minor issues. Affordable price for a two-night stay.

We booked a 2-night stay at Karen's Breakaway Spot. for a nearby wedding and were pleasantly surprised. Despite some minor repairs, the chalet was cozy and easily heated up on the one cold night we experienced. It also provided a quiet and comfortable night's sleep, even during half term. The living area was spacious and warm, and the chalet proved to be 100% waterproof during a particularly rainy night. Richard, the owner, was responsive and addressed our small concerns promptly.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this charming chalet for two nights while attending a nearby wedding. Despite our modest expectations, we were pleasantly surprised. The chalet, although showing some wear and tear, was small enough to quickly heat up and completely waterproof during a heavy rainstorm. The living area was spacious and cozy, providing a comfortable place to relax. Additionally, we were delighted to find that the chalet park was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to enjoy one of the most peaceful nights of sleep we've had in years. Any small issues we encountered were promptly addressed by Richard, the owner.
